Mourinho: Winning La Liga harder than any other leagueThe successful coach has stated that winning the Primera Division title this season was more difficult than guiding his teams to league glory in Portugal, England and Italy
Jose Mourinho has admitted that winning the Primera Division with Real Madrid was harder than any of his previous league titles.
Madrid secured the Liga title on Wednesday as they beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 at San Mames.
The successful coach previously guided Porto to the Portuguese league title on two occasions, won the Premier League twice with Chelsea, while guiding Inter to Serie A glory two times as well.
Nevertheless, Mourinho sees the Liga title as his most difficult domestic trophy so far in his career.
"I have previously won titles in Portugal, England and Italy, but this one in Spain is the hardest title so far. And I have even won titles on the last matchday in the past. They didn't give us any presents," Mourinho stated to Real Madrid TV.
"We have played football of the highest quality. It's time to celebrate now. These players deserve it. The entire country has seen it and nobody will argue that we don't deserve the title.
"I dedicate this title to anyone who has helped us achieve this, and who has suffered." Real Madrid sit seven points ahead of rivals Barcelona in the Primera Division table.
