Gotze set for Dortmund stayArsenal have been told that midfielder Mario Gotze will not be leaving German champions Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Gunners were believed to be interested in the talented 19-year-old and some reports suggested they had even made an offer of around ?40million (£35.4m).
Dortmund declared earlier this month that they would only be prepared to sell Gotze to a foreign team rather than a Bundesliga rival, indicating that Arsenal might have had a chance.
However, with less than two days remaining of the transfer window it seems Dortmund have decided to keep hold of the Germany international.
Gotze's agent, Volker Struth, does not believe the youngster is ready to make a move away from his homeland.
No chance
"Mario will stay at Dortmund, for sure, the next two years. There is no chance of him going to another club this window," Struth said.
"This is because he is so young and it is too early in his career for him. The club, the player and his family, we are all of one mind that it is better for him to stay there because he is happy at Dortmund.
"When there is a big club who want Mario, Dortmund have to tell the club that there is no chance.
"In any case, they will not sell him. In two or three years, who knows? I don't know what will happen then."
