Wenger - Beckham is only here to train
Arsène Wenger insists he will not be signing David Beckham despite the 37-year-old training with the Club.
The England international, who left LA Galaxy last month, reported for training at London Colney on Tuesday morning - but Wenger insists the he is only there to improve his fitness.
Wenger says he has not considered making a permanent move for the midfielder, who has been linked with a host of clubs around the world.
“He has asked to come here and work on his fitness,” the boss said. “He has not done anything for a long, long time. He comes here to try to get fit again.
“There’s no speculation about signing or anything. He’s come here purely for fitness purposes.
“We are open for people who behave well when they come here and who have made a great service for English football - you always try to help.”
