Beckford confirms move to Newcastle United
Newcastle United have landed highly-rated Leeds United striker Jermaine
Beckford for a fee of £2 million, reports Goal.com.

The 26-year-old goal-scoring sensation has been in stellar form for the
League One side, and it is understood that the Magpies were chasing him
since last January.

'I'm off to Newcastle United,' he told Goal.com UK.

The website also reveals that the Toon had two previous bids rejected, while
the third was submitted today.

Either club is yet to confirm, but news reports around England suggest an
announcement is forthcoming.
