KUYT DOUBTFUL FOR HOLLAND MATCH

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is a doubt for Holland's Euro 2008 qualifier with Albania after an ankle knock forced him off the field in the 1-1 draw in Bulgaria on Saturday.

Kuyt started the game for Holland but left the field after 16 minutes with an ankle problem.

Holland coach Marco Van Basten confirmed: "Kuyt twisted his ankle and it's unlikely he will be fit for Wednesday."

GERRARD CHASING MCMANAMAN

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will climb to fourth in the club’s Premiership appearance table if he is selected for this weekend’s home game against Blackburn Rovers.
The midfielder could play his 240th league game tomorrow, putting him level with former winger Steve McManaman.

Gerrard has struck 37 times in the top flight but has yet to get off the mark this season.

REDS CONFIRM AGGER INJURY

Liverpool have confirmed that young defender Daniel Agger broke his right hand during last night's Euro 2008 qualification victory in Liechtenstein.
Agger, who played all 90 minutes of the 4-0 victory, will be examined by the club's medical team upon his return to Melwood today.

The Reds haven't yet commented on whether the 21 year old will be ruled out of any first team action.
