Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed that Mohamed Sissoko's shoulder surgery has been 'very successful'. The Malian star went under the knife on Wednesday after dislocating his shoulder in Liverpool's Carling Cup win over Birmingham City on November 8.
Initial indications suggested that the former Valencia star could be out for up to three months - a huge blow for a Reds side currently struggling for form in The Premiership.
Benitez has now confirmed that the all-action midfielder's operation has gone according to plan, but the Anfield club are still awaiting clarification as to when Sissoko will be available for first team action again.
"Momo had the operation yesterday," Benitez told the club's official website. "The doctors said it was very successful but now we must wait. "We know we will be without Momo for some time, but maybe we will know more in a few days exactly how long it will be." 施素高手術好成功..
