Recovery day at Real Madrid City. Three of the men who had been in the infirmary these past few days rejoined the team.

Real Madrid have started to prepare for their fixture with Villarreal. It must be hard for them not to think of their amazing 5-0 victory over them in the first part of the competition. It was the second game in the League and it anticipated a fun season for the Whites.

Twenty men trained today, meaning that players are gradually recovering and rejoining the squad. After warm-up, keepers Casillas, Dudek and Codina left the group to do specific work, while the rest did endurance exercises and speed drills with physical coach Jordi García.

Twenty children from the Social Integration School of the Friends of Real Madrid Foundation were able to meet their idols prior to training for several minutes.

Opare With Real Madrid having already signed Ghanaian youngster Daniel Opare, the Spanish club are eager to bring him to the capital as soon as possible...

As announced two weeks ago that Real Madrid had beaten off competition to land highly-rated Ghanaian Daniel Opare.

But the 17-year-old, barring a brief visit to the blancos' training base at Valdebebas, has yet to fully join up with his teammates due to the difficulties of securing a residence permit.

As such, he remains contracted to Ashanti Gold SC in Ghana, but the Madrid hierarchy are working to secure for him a visa, EU passport or Non-Discrimination Treaty status in order to bring him to Madrid as soon as possible.

The young right-back performed so well at last year's U-17 World Cup that he was given a call-up for the full national side in November, as well as being included in Ghana's African Cup of Nations squad. However, injury ruled him out of the ongoing continental competition.

In any case, Madrid are hoping to finalise both the transfer and the residence situation by the end of the month.
