Defender Danny Collins has signed for Sunderland's Barclays Premier League counterparts Stoke City.

Danny Collins has completed a deadline day move to Stoke City, safc.com can confirm.

The Welsh international defender was on the bench when Sunderland faced the Potters on Saturday and moves for a fee of up to £3.5million.

The long-serving Collins joined the Black Cats from Chester City in October 2004 and leaves the club having made 163 appearances, scoring three times.

We have a bit of breaking news for you with Hull City striker Daniel Cousin confirming to France Football that he is joining Burnley on loan for the season. Hull's signing of Jozy Altidore and Kamel Ghilas appears to have pushed him well down Phil Brown's pecking order and Cousin should add a bit of presence to Burnley's attack.
