Arda Turan, the Turkish international arrived at 8:00am to the Clinic FREMAP in Majadahonda accompanied by communications director, Rafael Alique, as well as the head of the club's medical services, Dr. Jose Maria Villalon.
At 9:30 am, the new player went to the Ciudad Deportiva in Majadahonda to see the facilities where he will work. He met Oscar Pitillas, fitness trainer, Alberto Unsaín the kit man, one of the physiotherapists, Esteban Arévalo and players who had not traveled to Huelva and were going to train, Sergio Asenjo, Raul Garcia, Jamie and Fran Mérida. The therapist Esteban Arévalo began treating the injury he suffered in the match played on Wednesday with Turkey against Estonia in Istanbul.
Dr. Villalon attended the media to explain the injury: "There is a small injury grade I-II in the psoas of the right thigh at the proximal third. It's a mild muscle injury. We will keep an eye on it over the next few weeks but this injury will prevent him from training in these early days. Maybe it’ll be two to three weeks before he can compete. Apart from that slight muscle injury the player is very healthy after conducting the medical tests. Therefore, it is very good news that this player can join Club Atletico de Madrid".
At around 12:15 pm he returned to the Vicente Calderón Stadium to sign the contract that binds him to the Club Atlético de Madrid for four seasons.
