It has now been rumoured that Del Piero, who has previously stated his desire to play until he is 40, will opt for a challenge in another country before retiring.
There is reportedly interest from Premiership clubs including Fulham and QPR, and if he did come to the Premiership, it seems likely he would opt for a club in the capital.
The World Cup winner has had plenty of interest around Europe, with the Swiss club Sion already making him an offer.
Though he may have aged, the Juventus captain has still not lost his form, helping his team to the top of Serie A table after six games so far this season.
Del Piero is the club's all-time leading scorer, netting 284 goals in 677 matches, and helped the club win the Champions League and five league titles.
