Transfer news: Borussia Dortmund sign Milos Jokic from Partizan Belgrade



Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of Milos Jojic from Partizan Belgrade.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a contract with the Westphalian club until 2018 and will fill the void left by a serious knee injury to Jakub Blaszczykowski.

The Serbian passed his medical on Friday morning before joining his new team mates in training,

although he is unlikely to feature in their clash with Eintracht Braunschweig on Friday night.

"This is a typical Borussia transfer," said the club's general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke to the Welt newspaper.

"It's one with a certain amount of risks, but also a big opportunity."

Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc said on the club's official website:

"We are delighted to have in Milos Jojic a versatile midfield player committed with great development potential, which completes our squad."

DORTMUND CONFIRM JOJIC SIGNING

Munich - Borussia Dortmund have swooped to sign attacking midfielder Milos Jojic from FK Partizan.The Serbian has signed a contract valid until 30 June 2018 and will help plug a gap left by a serious injury to Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Versatile midfielder

Jojic was recently voted as the best player of the first season half in his homeland after netting six goals and providing seven assists in 15 matches. The 21-year-old, who will not feature in Dortmund's squad against Braunschweig on Friday night, made his senior international debut for Serbia in October 2013 against Japan, crowning his display with a goal.

"We're delighted to have signed a versatile midfielder in Milos Jojic. He completes our squad," said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

"I'm happy to be able to play for such a great club like Borussia Dortmund," Jojic told bvb.de. "I'm looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League."
