Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has revealed he will leave Borussia Monchengladbach this summer, regardless of Barcelona's transfer embargo.
The Bundesliga side revealed earlier this month that 21-year-old stopper will leave the club, and has been strongly linked with a move to the Catalan giants.
Despite the news that Barcelona will be banned from making any signings in the next two transfer windows, ter Stegen remains set on leaving Monchengladbach.
"I have heard nothing about this and I do not know what everyone wants from me," ter Stegen told German newspaper Express.
"I only know that at the end of this season I will be leaving Borussia Monchengladbach."
The German international's advisor Gerd Von Bruch believes that the switch to Barcelona will still go ahead during this summer's transfer window.
"I do not know if the decision applies to future transfers or to transfers that have already been completed," he explained.
"First we have to see if Barcelona will appeal against the decision.
"We will remain calm and see what happens in the next few weeks. In any case, Marc will be leaving Gladbach this summer."
Barcelona have confirmed they will appeal against the 14-month transfer ban imposed on them by FIFA.
