Martin Ødegaard agrees to Real Madrid move
Ødegaard’s current Norwegian side, Strømsgodset and Real Madrid are now set to negotiate the details of the transfer that will see the young player move to the Spanish capital.
Madrid won the race for his signature after strong competition from major European clubs such as: Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Liverpool,
who all showed great interest in securing the Norwegian's services.
The player's father has been directly involved in all aspects of his son’s career move and Drammen DT report that he will be offered a coaching job at Real Madrid overseeing one of the clubs’ youth teams.
The plan is for the 16 year old Norwegian to play for Real Madrid’s “B” team, Castilla who play in the third tier of Spanish football and are managed by, Zinedane Zidane.
Ødegaard’s recent visit to Madrid was closely covered by international media and the player attended the Vicente Calderon stadium to watch the Copa del Rey game between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti has also praised the Norwegian in a recent press conference.
