Former Arsenal and England captain Tony Adams is hoping to become the new head coach of Danish club Brondby. Adams is a director at Azerbaijani club Gabala, but his contract ends this month and the former England captain has confirmed he is keen on moving to Denmark. Adams, 49, told Danish paper BT that he has been in talks with the club's chairman Jan Bech Andersen, who revealed on Tuesday he is close to appointing a "very exciting person". "He is a great guy and I really like him and his vision for the club," Adams said.
"Brondby is a fantastic football club, probably the biggest and best in Denmark. So of course I'm interested in the coaching job.
"We talk regularly. Whether that leads to a coaching job or just a great friendship I don't know.
"I don't hide that I am now looking for a management job somewhere in Europe.
"I'm interested, for sure. Now we'll have to see what happens. I have met with other clubs as well and I'm sure [Brondby] are also talking to others."
