Teenager Renato Sanches, who recently signed for Bayern Munich, has been included in Portugal's squad for Euro 2016. The 18-year-old Sanches, who was linked with a number of Premier League clubs, will move to Bayern this summer for around £27.5m after an outstanding season with Benfica.
Sanches won his first senior cap against Bulgaria in March and also played in their game against Belgium, doing enough to persuade Fernando Santos he was worthy of place in his 23-man squad headlined by Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
There is no place in the squad for Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago Mendes, who missed the majority of the season with a broken leg, while Monaco's Bernardo Silva is omitted because of a thigh injury. Southampton pair Cedric Soares and Jose Fonte are included, along with Swansea striker Eder, who spent the second half of the season on loan with French club Lille. Portugal are in Group F at the European Championship along with Austria, Hungary and Iceland.
