Chelsea have opened talks over a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez.The 34-year-old former Real Madrid keeper missed part of last season due to injury and could only watch as 17-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma took over and made the position his own.Chelsea want back-up for Thibaut Courtois as Asmir Begovic is expected to leave, with Everton among his suitors.The Stamford Bridge club have offered a three year contract to Lopez who would cost a nominal fee with Milan keen to cut their wage bill.
Incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte also needs to make a decision over Marco Amelia, who is out of contract.
