It’s over: Dybala to leave Juventus as contract talks collapse
According to multiple reports in Italy, Paulo Dybala will leave Juventus at the end of the season as his contract at the Allianz Stadium won’t be renewed.
Sky Sport Italia and Romeo Agresti report that the Argentinean will end his spell in Turin at the end of the season when his contract with the Bianconeri expires. His agent Jorge Antun met Juventus directors this morning but failed to reach an agreement during their two-hour meeting at Continassa.
Juventus and Dybala had shaken hands over an ?11m-a-year deal at the end of 2021, but the Bianconeri withdrew their offer. They made a new proposal in the region of ?6-7m per season plus add-ons, which was not enough for the Argentinean.
La Joya is, therefore, free to find a new club for 2022-23 given that his time in Turin will end in the summer. Dybala has been struggling with injuries over the last few seasons, which is one of the reasons why Juventus changed their stance regarding the offer they made at the end of 2021.
The signing of Dusan Vlahovic also had an impact on the club’s choice and finances, leading to a lower offer for La Joya. Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Inter, Liverpool and Manchester City have been linked with signing the striker who, according to reports in Italy, hasn’t yet received concrete offers from other clubs.
