He told Honduran televison on Sunday that the injury only appeared to be a pulled muscle in his left leg, and added: 'Thank God, everything is OK.'Team-mate David Suazo, who sustained a knock to his right leg, also had good news. He told newspaper La Prensa: 'I already feel better.'
Honduras are winless in five straight friendlies and have not won since a January defeat of the United States.
The debutants arrive in Johannesburg on Wednesday and begin their Group
