Palermo striker Edinson Cavani to join Napoli

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that striker Edinson Cavani will join Napoli if he can agree personal terms with the club.



Cavani had been linked with Tottenham after performing superbly in Uruguay's run to the World Cup semi-finals but will now join Palermo's Serie A rivals in time for the new Italian season.

Palermo were reluctant to sell to a club who finished just one place below them in the Serie A table last season but felt compelled to do so as Cavani was desperate to leave La Favorita.

"The agreement between Napoli and Palermo was found," Zamparini told Radio Kiss Kiss. "Now they are negotiating with the player's agent over the details. Cavani is now in Uruguay and then the leaders of Napoli will go there for the signatures. With the arrival of Cavani, Napoli will aim high.

"I'm sorry to strengthen a direct competitor, but Cavani absolutely didn't want to stay in Palermo because there were unfortunately a couple of unpleasant incidents, and we promised to sell him."

根據傳媒Sky Sport24的報道，拿玻里與巴勒莫已達成協議，成功借用前鋒卡雲尼。

今個早上，兩支意甲球會聲稱已得到共識，巴勒莫會於2010-11年球季先將卡雲尼外借到拿玻里，下一年，拿玻里便會以1,600萬歐羅正式將這位射手收歸旗下。

卡雲尼現時在嘉實多球員排行榜佔557位，自從2007年轉戰意甲之後，一直持續有好的表現。在2009-10年球季，他與另一位巴勒莫前鋒米高利合作無間，在31場賽事中攻入13球。

23歲的他在2010世界盃亦代表烏拉圭上陣6次，於季軍戰面對德國時亦有一球斬穫。

現在只欠卡雲尼與拿玻里之間的協定，不過，相信這宗交易也很快便完成。在數個月前，這名球員亦曾經傳出會加盟曼城或國際米蘭，然而，現在看來拿玻里成為這次爭奪戰的最後的勝利者。
