Inter are reportedly intent on landing the Italian, whose agent claims will leave Villarreal for a top team...Giuseppe Rossi will only leave Villarreal for a big club, according to his agent Federico Pastorello as reports of an Inter bid grow stronger.
On Friday the Italian striker said he "was happy" at Villarreal, but acknowledged there was still "long to go" before the conclusion of the transfer market.
Inter have been tipped as the front runners for the hitman as Mario Balotelli edges closer to Manchester City.
"The situation is clear, he will leave Villarreal, a team in which he finds himself well, only for a big European club," Pastorello told Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Rome-based sports daily claims Inter are looking at Rossi as a possible alternative to Balotelli, but attention has also focussed on Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt.
