BREAKING NEWS: Blackburn Rovers confirm Steve Kean to remain as manager until end of season

Blackburn Rovers have appointed Steve Kean as manager until the end of the current season.
A club statement on Blackburn’s official website stated, “Following the departure of Mr. Sam Allardyce as Football Manager of Blackburn Rovers Football Club earlier this month, Mr. Steve Kean was appointed as manager
"Venkys London Limited – Blackburn Rovers – has decided to continue with Mr. Steve Kean as Manager, until the end of the season, June 2011.”
Kean oversaw Blackburn’s 1-1 draw at home to West Ham United in his only game in charge.
It is thought that the club will appoint a new manager at the end of the season with Sven Goran Eriksson, Martin Jol and former Blackburn striker Alan Shearer all linked the job.
Blackburn currently lie in 12th position in the Barclays Premier League and are six points clear of the relegation zone.
