Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo could miss Lyon tieReal Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo may miss the Champions League tie against Lyon after being ruled out for up to 15 days because of a leg injury.
The injury came about in Real's 7-0 thumping of Malaga on Thursday, when the 26-year-old scored a hat-trick.
A statement on the club's official website said the Portugal captain had "a grade one muscle injury on the left bicep femoris muscle".
It added: "The player will miss 10-15 days. His recovery is being monitored."
Real will take on Lyon at the Bernebeu on 16 March after the first leg finished in a 1-1 draw.
Ronaldo has been in fine form for Los Blancos this season, scoring 27 league goals this season.
The Madrid derby against Atletico on 20 March is a possible date for his return.
With Barcelona seven points clear in La Liga, Ronaldo - who has appeared in every league game this season - will be sorely missed as Real attempt to narrow the gap.
