The Nerazzurri have confirmed that they have secured the services of the Slovenia international and the versatile defenderJul 6, 2012 10:54:00 AM
Inter have completed the signings of Samir Handanovic from Udinese and Matias Silvestre from Palermo.
The Nerazzurri were in the market for a new goalkeeper due to the ongoing uncertainty about the future of Julio Cesar, and head coach Andrea Stramaccioni has now got his desired reinforcement in the 27-year-old Handanovic.
The Slovenia international had made over 180 official appearances for Udinese since joining the club in the summer of 2004, but will now continue his career at the Nerazzurri, who shelled out ?11 million for his services.
Handanovic will join his new team-mates for Inter's summer training camp in Pinzolo on July 8, whereas last years's No.1 Julio Cesar has not made the squad.
The signing of a new centre-back also became a priority for Inter after the departure of Lucio, who joined Juventus earlier this week, and they have tipped Silvestre to be the ideal replacement.
The centre-back, 27, started his professional career with Boca Juniors and also wore the jersey of Catania before joining Sicilian rivals Palermo last summer and impressed in his debut season.
The defender has already joined up with his team-mates in Pinzolo, where they will be based between July 6 until July 15.
