Tevez tells Juventus he wants Boca return Carlos Tevez has told Juventus that he wants to leave the club and return to Boca Juniors this summer. The Argentina striker has long made it clear he wants to finish his career in his homeland with the club for whom he made his debut in October 2001.
Despite having a year to run on his current contract in Turin, Goal understands that Tevez has told the Juve hierarchy that he is keen to seal a transfer this summer. Speaking to TyCSports earlier on Wednesday, Boca president Daniel Angelici admitted he had spoken to the former Manchester United man about a return but was keen to allow him to compete in the Copa America without distraction.
"I want to be cautious with the arrival of Carlitos at Boca," he said. "You have to respect Juventus, the club where he still has a contract, but I'm sure Tevez will stay at Juve or return to Boca.
"We spoke to Carlitos about his future, but at the moment we're leaving him in piece to concentrate on the Copa America. Afterwards, he'll decide with his club where his future lies, but I'm sure, if not now, it'll be next year [that he returns]."
Tevez scored 29 goals for Juventus last season as they won Serie A and the Coppa Italia before losing the Champions League final to Barcelona.
