Chelsea misfit Mohamed Salah is ready to join Roma.

Egyptian winger Salah has turned down a permanent switch to Fiorentina but has held negotiations with Roma.

Roma now have to agree a fee with Chelsea and Jose Mourinho has insisted he has yet to decide on Salah’s future.

Fiorentina wanted to keep the 23-year-old but their £40,000 a week offer was short of what Salah was looking for.

Inter Milan had also been interested in the Egypt international who scored nine goals in 26 appearances for Fiorentina and helped knock Spurs out of the Europa League in February.

Roma-Salah: the negotiation progresses, the end is in sight

The Salah soap opera is finally coming to an end. The Egyptian winger will get his wish and will remain in Serie A, Roma is waiting for him.
The giallorossi have reached an agreement with Chelsea on a loan deal for ?2 million with a forced option to buy set at ?20 million.
The player will earn a substantial wage of ?3.5 million- the negotiation is in the final stage since the clubs are starting to put together the necessary documents.
Fiorentina has yet to give their approval, they are asking Chelsea for compensation, but Roma doesn't believe the Tuscan club is owed anything.
Salah is on his way to Italy's capital.

Roma, Salah expected in Rome in next few hours: the latest

Its one of the transfer saga's of the summer and it seems to have taken yet another twist.
Egyptian striker Mo Salah is expected to arrive in Rome later today but no contracts will be signed.
Its reported that Roma want to allow the player to train with the rest of squad whilst waiting for FIFA to give the green light that the transfer deal can be completed.
The Giallorossi want everything to have been concluded by August 14th when all their new signings will be presented at the club's "Open Day" before the home friendly against Sevilla.

Mohamed Salah has finished having his medical at Roma ahead of what he hopes will be a summer move to the capital.
The player has just left the Villa Stuart Medical Centre and is now on his way to join up with the squad at their Trigoria training base.
The Giallorossi have an agreement with Salah's parent club Chelsea but are awaiting FIFA clearance to conclude the deal.

SALAH DEAL DONE?

It seems as though a deal to take Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah to Roma is on the verge of completion, judging by the player’s social media activity.

Salah changed his twitter profile to say that he is now a footballer for “AS Ro..” A bit cryptic that. The Egyptian winger has also changed his profile picture to the number 11, which is vacant at the Italian club.

And if that wasn't a big enough hint - he also tweeted a more conclusive message.

Finally, Mohamed Salah is a Roma player. Chelsea announced on their official website that; "An agreement has been reached with Roma for the loan of Mohamed Salah for season 2015-16 with an option to buy the player at any time.
"The ex Fiorentina man will arrive in the capital for an initial ?5 million for the loan with a further ?15 million to be handed over after a permanent move is finalised.
