The Spanish midfielder sees his contract expire in Bavaria in the summer, and it's been suggested that he's made his intention to retire known already



Xabi Alonso is set to hang up his boots at the end of the current season.

The former Liverpool and Real Madrid ace, now 35, is into his third season at Bayern Munich and according to SportBild, it will be the World Cup winner’s last.

Alonso’s contract in Bavaria expires at the end of the current campaign.

Instead, the suggestion is that in a meeting with Bayern management in late 2016, Alonso announced to the club’s hierarchy that he intends to retire.

Alonso has played almost 100 games for Die Roten since his arrival in 2014 from Real Madrid - costing ?9million as Bayern replaced Toni Kroos.

Under new boss Carlo Ancelotti this term he has once more been a regular in midfield, starting 13 of 16 Bundesliga games so far.

【now.com體育】英國傳媒引述德國《圖片報》稱，前利物浦名將沙比阿朗素將在球季結束後掛靴。

英國《每日鏡報》、《太陽報》周三引述德國《圖片報》稱，現時效力拜仁慕尼黑的前利物浦球星沙比阿朗素（Xabi Alonso）在今個球季結束後將高掛球靴。據悉，35歲的阿朗素在去年底與會方談及續約問題，他明確告訴球會完成合約後將退休。阿朗素2014年從皇家馬德里加盟，目前合約在季尾結束。

阿朗素在皇家蘇斯達成名，2004年加盟利物浦，協助球隊奪得2004/05球季的歐聯冠軍；2009年轉投皇家馬德里，分別奪得西甲和歐聯冠軍；2014年加盟拜仁慕尼黑，取得德甲兩連冠。

拜仁教練安察洛堤從來器重一班老將，日前才與荷蘭老將洛賓續約1年，新約至2018年屆滿；他同樣希望與阿朗素續約1年，但遭到對方拒絕。至於老國腳拿姆的合約至2018年屆滿，他將履行剩下的合約。

儘管沙比阿朗素（Xabi Alonso）目前仍是拜仁慕尼黑中場線的一員，但該名西班牙名將周四公佈一個重要決定，宣稱將於季後結束其漫長的球員生涯，高掛球靴。

35歲的沙比在社交網絡twitter分享了一張手執球靴、回望鏡頭，正在揮手道別的黑白照片，並留言道：「活過，愛過，告別了！美麗的比賽。」顯而易見，這名前利物浦中場已作出季後告別球壇的決定，而其前球會利物浦不久亦於twitter貼出了他的照片及留言「傳奇」，向該名舊部致敬。

向以傳送了得見稱的沙比阿朗素，出身於皇家蘇斯達青訓系統，2004年轉投利物浦踢出名堂至2009年離開，效力皇家馬德里5年後再轉會拜仁至今，他過往曾114次代表過西班牙國家隊出賽，期間曾協助狂牛兩次贏得歐洲國家盃，以及贏取過1屆世界盃冠軍。
