Zlatan Ibrahimovic will complete his rehabilitation from cruciate knee ligament surgery at Manchester United's Carrington training complex.

The Swede is out of contract on 30 June and there was no mention of another deal being offered when Ibrahimovic's name appeared on the Premier League released list on Friday afternoon.

That only proved nothing had been offered by 29 May, but it is understood there has been no change to that situation.

However, the fact Ibrahimovic will remain in Manchester to recover from an injury sustained in April and which is not likely to see him play again in 2018, indicates a new United contract is a possibility.

No guarantees have been made by the club though and evidently the extent of the forward's recovery and United's form in the first part of the 2017-18 campaign will be decisive.

ITALIAN OFFERS FOR ZLATAN

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola has said his client could be playing in Italy next season.

Raiola told Sky in Italy that there was interest in the 35-year-old from around the world but he said a move to Serie A would be 'possible'.

"Many clubs are interested in Ibrahimovic; from MLS in the USA, but also in Italy would be possible," Raiola said.

"Napoli? Everything is possible, but I think Napoli will not be his next club."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to have confirmed his departure from Man Utd after posting this message on Instagram: “I came. I said. I conquered.”

The Swede, who injured his knee towards the end of last season, officially became a free agent today after his contract at Old Trafford expired.

After the serious knee injury cut short his experience at Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working hard rehabbing his knee.
The Los Angeles Galaxy would like for his return to the pitch to take place in MLS, the American club continues to work on convincing the Swedish striker to accept their offer.
In the meantime Ibrahimovic is pondering his options for the future while focusing on his rehab
