Dimitar Berbatov is closing on a move to Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, Sky sources understand.
Two-time Premier League title winner Berbatov has not played competitive football in over a year, having last turned out for Greek side PAOK during the 2015/16 season.
A transfer to Kerala will see the 36-year-old once again link up with Rene Meulensteen, who recently succeeded ex-Crystal Palace and Reading boss Steve Coppell as Blasters' head coach.
Berbatov's imminent move to Kerala will see him line up alongside ex-Manchester United team-mate Wes Brown, who joined the Cochin-based outfit on Tuesday.
Berbatov would also come up against former Spurs team-mate Robbie Keane in the fourth edition of the Indian Super League.
Keane has joined last year's champions Atletico Kolkata ahead of the new season, which kicks off on November 17.
Keane and Berbatov were strike partners at Tottenham a decade ago, netting 43 goals between them during the 2007/08 Premier League season.
