Atletico Madrid pressing for Monaco's Lemar: the details



Atletico Madrid have singled out Monaco's Thomas Lemar for a possible transfer.
The negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs and there is not much distance between the demand and the offer: Atletico are offering 60 million euros, but Monaco is demanding 80 million euros.
Lemar has recently been linked to Barcelona by the Spanish press, but he is quite close to Simeone's Atletico, who are looking freshness and speed on both wings.

Thomas Lemar: Atletico Madrid reach 'preliminary agreement' to sign Monaco winger

Atletico Madrid have reached a "preliminary agreement" to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

The France international - who has spent three seasons with Monaco since arriving from Caen - is in Russia for the World Cup.

Arsenal failed to sign Lemar, 22, in last summer's transfer window, while he was also a £60m target for Liverpool.

"Over the next days, both clubs will work to close the agreement for the definitive transfer," Atletico said.

Lemar has scored 22 goals in 123 games for Monaco and helped them win Ligue 1 and reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2016-17.

He made his France debut in 2016 and has scored three goals in 12 international games.

Agreement actually just ?60m between Monaco & Atletico Madrid, according to @mohamedbouhafsi, with a big re-sell percentage bonus also part of the deal.
