Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson among players Everton are willing to sell



Everton will consider offers for an entire team of players, including Gylfi Sigurdsson and Theo Walcott, as they look to claw back money after their summer spending spree.

The futures of Fabian Delph, Bernard, Alex Iwobi — signed a year ago from Arsenal for £34 million — and Cenk Tosun, who is recovering from injury, are also uncertain, while Yannick Bolasie, Muhamed Besic and Sandro Ramírez are surplus to requirements.

Carlo Ancelotti is keen to sign the Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori having already brought in Allan, Abdoulaye Doucouré and James Rodríguez but, while the 22-year-old waits to see if he will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge, the emphasis for Everton is on selling players.

In fact, Director of Football Marcel Brands could realistically listen to offers for an entire shadow XI, as years of scatter-gun spending has caught up with the Merseyside club.

Some of those players will go into the shop window on Wednesday as manager Carlo Ancelotti looks to give his squad a run out against Salford.

Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie and Mo Besic have all returned from loans last season and will be offloaded should there be any interest,w hich is not guaranteed.

The same applies to defender Matthew Pennington, while Beni Baningime could be loaned out to gain more first team experience.

Cenk Tosun is still injured and may be difficult to shift, but Ancelotti will sell if he can. The likes of Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, and Bernard are likely to be squad players on big wages this season, and so could be shifted for any decent fee.

But it is recent signings Moise Keane and Alex Iwobi who will arouse most controversy, after being signed by Brands only a year ago, in a big spending spree last summer.

Everton striker Moise Kean has joined Paris St-Germain on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Italy international has failed to make an impact on Merseyside since joining Everton in a £27m deal from Juventus in the summer of 2019.

He will now try to re-ignite his career at PSG, who are understood to have an option to buy Kean at the end of his loan period.

Kean has played four times for Everton this season, scoring two goals.

He was a late substitute in three of those four games and only started the EFL Cup game against Salford City.

Last season, Kean made 33 appearances for the Goodison Park club but only managed two goals, which were both in the league.
