Watford FC confirms that it has reached an agreement to allow Danny Welbeck to leave on a free transfer.

Welbeck featured 20 times for the Hornets last season, scoring three goals.

To clarify, this season there are two transfer windows, tonight at 2300 BST – and then 16 October at 1700 BST.

The latter window is between the Premier League and the EFL, so transfers can be made between clubs in the two leagues but NOT between two Premier League clubs.

The former Manchester United, Arsenal and Watford forward has agreed a one-year deal with Albion.

Head coach Graham Potter said, “We are delighted to have Danny joining us. He will complement our existing striking options.

“He’s got an undoubted pedigree, and he is quick and technically very good. He will add to our attacking threat and we are thrilled to add another player of his experience and quality.”
