Wenger confirms Lehmann dealMarch 17, 2011

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will come out or retirement to rejoin Arsenal until the end of the season.
Wenger, who originally signed Lehmann from Borussia Dortmund in 2003, is desperate to bring in goalkeeping cover with Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone, who is on loan at Hull, on the sidelines.
Manuel Almunia is Arsenal's only fit senior goalkeeper and the Gunners had 19-year-old James Shea on the bench for Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Manchester United.
Wenger said: "Lehmann is training with us and will sign for the rest of the season. We have no cover in the Premier League, so that is why I decided to bring Jens back. He has not signed, but it [a contract] has been agreed.''
The German, 41, made almost 200 appearances for Arsenal before returning to the Bundesliga with Stuttgart in 2008 and then retiring last summer.
Lehmann, who would be signed as a free agent, could be in contention to make the squad for Saturday's Premier League trip to struggling West Brom.
