Serie A - Cavani extends Napoli deal

Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani has ended speculation linking him with a move to Europe’s biggest clubs after signing a five-year contract at Napoli.
The former Palermo star, 24, has been the stand-out player in the Naples side’s run to third place in Serie A, hitting 26 league goals as they secured Champions League football next season.
"Cavani is with us until 2016," Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis told Radi Marte.
"He’s an amazing goal-scorer."
Cavani’s previous deal was to run until 2015 and his new contract is understood to include a bumper pay-rise.
He had been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Real Madrid.
