West Ham in talks to sign Javier Pastore from PSG

West Ham are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News understands the Hammers are discussing a deal that would be worth up to £17.5m.

It is also understood PSG are willing to sell the 28-year-old as they aim to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

Pastore, who joined PSG from Palermo in 2011, has only one year left on his current contract at the Parc des Princes.

The Argentine has scored 45 goals in 265 appearances for the current Ligue 1 champions.

New West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is aiming to sign up to five players this summer after promising the club's fans an attacking revolution.

Sky sources understand he is close to completing the first signing of his reign with out-of-contract Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks set to join the club on a free transfer.

Roma, looking at PSG's Pastore in the case of Nainggolan exit: his agent expected in Italy today

It is possible that we could see the transfer of Javier Pastore from PSG to Roma in the coming weeks.
The midfielder would like to return to Italy, as better economic offers from China and West Ham have not convinced the player.
The most preferred destination for Pastore is Roma despite the fact that he would have to take a significant cut on his wages in order to join the giallorossi.

Things are moving, as his agent Simonian is expected in Italy today.
The conversation between agent and club will take place with the goal of finding a proposal that will satisfy PSG.
Pastore's price is fixed at 25 million, including bonuses, but at the moment there has only been one conversation between the parties.
One central piece of the negotiations will be the future of Nainggolan.
Inter is looking for an agreement with the Belgian player and if he were to leave Roma, they would immediately look to nail down Pastore as his replacement.

The future of Pastore and Nainggolan is tied together as the deals for both players are nearing a positive conclusion.

Roma have in fact agreed a deal in principle on the terms of the Argentinian midfielder's contract.
There are still some details to be settled, but the PSG player will sign a 4 or 5-year-deal and earn ?4 million per season.
The French champions and Roma are also close on reaching an agreement on a ?24 million transfer fee.
