Manchester United in discussions over new Anthony Martial contract

Manchester United are in discussions with Anthony Martial's representatives over a new long-term contract.

Martial, 22, has a year left on his present deal but United have the option to extend by a further season.

Earlier this summer Martial's agent said the France forward wanted to leave the club because of a lack of playing opportunities.

Tottenham made an inquiry, and it is understood that United manager Jose Mourinho was open to a deal.

Chelsea's Willian and Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic were being suggested as replacements.

His exit was blocked, however, with United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believing Mourinho should get more out of him.

It is understood United want to sign the Frenchman for an additional five years.

A £36m signing from Monaco in 2015, Martial's only appearance so far this season was in the 3-2 defeat at Brighton on 19 August, when he was replaced after an hour.

He was not on the bench for Monday's 3-0 home defeat by Tottenham.

Manchester United have risked further undermining manager Jose Mourinho by opening discussions with Anthony Martial over a new long-term contract.

United blocked Mourinho's attempts to sell Martial, 22, in the summer after the French forward's agent Philippe Lamboley confirmed he wanted to leave. United rebuffed an enquiry from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in the transfer window and are now prepared to tie Martial down on a longer deal. Martial has entered the last year of his United contract but the club has the option of an additional year.

Mourinho was prepared to let Martial go this summer - #mufc offer him a new deal. Woodward also fully intended to extend Shaw's contract, regardless of whether he forced his way back into Mourinho's plans.

球員自己想走，領隊擺明唔想用佢。但球會就堅持要留人。


最後就好似宜家咁，球員無穩定既出場機會。間中有得出，都唔會有咩好表現。

領隊見到一個都唔想為球隊賣命既球員，眼火爆。有人用就自然唔會用佢。無人用之際，被迫用佢，又會對佢諸多挑剔！

球會就白出糧養住個對球隊無咩大貢獻既球員。但就慳左筆驚人既轉會費。因為預計賣馬迪爾後，九成要貼更多錢黎買入另一個新球員。唔賣佢，球隊名義上夠人。唔駛買人。慳番筆。

以上係講笑,入返正題,個人想法係
1) 球員續約後再賣可以賣到好價錢,好處係球員賺左筆簽字費先,仲可能有人工加,球會又唔使蝕賣,壞處係下家球會要比更高轉會費先買到

2)球會選擇同不受教練重用既球員續約會唔會暗示"拿,你續約先,個教練捱埋今季就炒架喇"

The Daily Telegraph reported over the weekend how the 22-year-old had felt emboldened by United’s refusal to bow to Mourinho’s desire to sell him and the prospect of the forward signing a new deal would mark another severe blow to the manager’s dwindling authority.

Mourinho no longer has control over transfer matters and the club’s willingness to give a lucrative new contract to a player he does not wish to keep further undermines his position.

Martial, along with Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, is considered to be central to  United’s future by Woodward and his allies and they were unwilling to entertain the idea of selling the player signed from Monaco by Louis van Gaal, Mourinho’s predecessor, in 2015. So far he has cost them £44 million of a projected £61 million fee.

正路應該係季中睇下教到咩成績先傾續約,而家咁既情況似係球會處理手法棋差一著

我覺得呢D director都有成功例子既,皇馬歐聯都3連霸啦,施丹都係無轉會話事權

雲加大權啦掛,咪又係臨尾幾年教成咁...

Re Martial. Jose Mourinho has been kept in the loop re negotiations so not as if club going behind his back re contract and they clearly are in better financial position if player has longer deal. He was open to a sale this summer though.

其實曼聯同馬迪爾續約有幾個因素既

1. 早幾年8000萬買入，唔想好似高爾圖斯咁因為合約年期而要低價賣走
2. 對馬迪爾既發展仲有期望，可以更上一層樓
3. 摩佬命不久矣，留比下手決定留定賣，但續左約可以吊高黎賣

作為一支球隊既管理層，留住好球員都有責任既，我又唔覺得話佢唔受領隊重用就要冷落佢或者放佢走

普巴就八千萬。

佢加埋D ADD ON 好似都係岩岩掂到五千萬咋。唔計ADD ON ，三千幾萬。而我估計，佢個D ADD ON ，應該絕大部分都唔成立了。即係，曼聯好大機會只係比左三千萬幾就埋單。

不過，個個年代，就算三千幾萬簽佢，都係一個十分驚人既舉動。因為佢個陣先岩岩成名無耐，甚至唔係真係咁多人識佢。但三千幾萬係個陣已經係天王級數既身價了。所以簽佢個陣，曼聯係受盡質疑的。

Anthony Martial could cost Manchester United £61.5m, according to reports

Manchester United could eventually pay £61.5m to Monaco for Anthony Martial if all of the clauses in the deal are met, according to an alleged leaked document.

United have declined to comment on the document, which first appeared on website Football Leaks and claims to show the details of the French forward's move between the clubs in the summer transfer window.

The document says the initial fee of 50m Euros (£38.5m) for the player is to be paid in two instalments - ?20m (£15.4m) within three days of his transfer, and ?30m (£23.1m) on July 1.

There are then three further potential payments - ?10m (£7.7m) if the player scores 25 first-team goals for Manchester United, ?10m (£7.7m)  if Martial makes 25 appearances for the French national team and ?10m (£7.7m) more if the player is ever nominated for the Ballon d'Or award.

There is also a sell-on clause inserted in the deal, with Monaco due to be paid 50 per cent of any transfer fee between ?60m and ?100m United receive for the player.
