Tottenham Hotspur have accepted an £11million bid for midfielder Mousa Dembele from Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan.
Dembele, who had entered the final six months of his Spurs deal, is now discussing terms with Guoan ahead of a lucrative move.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino last season hailed Dembele “a genius”, but injury problems have prevented the Belgian playing since the start of November.
Pochettino on Monday confirmed that 31-year-old Dembele, who has suffered ongoing ankle problems, would not be part of his Tottenham plans for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea.
Other than Dembele, Tottenham are prepared to listen to offers for strikers Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen this month, along with winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
Pochettino wants to make space in his squad for new arrivals, whether they come this month or at the end of the season.
Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has flown to China to complete his £11m move to Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan.
The 31-year-old Belgium international, who joined from Fulham in 2012, is out of contract in the summer.
He has made 249 appearances for Spurs, but featured just 13 times this season.
A large pay rise and playing in a less physical league are believed to be behind his decision, while Tottenham are trying to trim the squad.
Meanwhile, it is understood Tottenham medical staff will wait for the swelling around Harry Kane's ankle to go down before they get an accurate assessment on the extent of the injury he suffered against Manchester United on Sunday.
Kane was caught in a challenge with Phil Jones and Diogo Dalot in the last minute of the 1-0 defeat.
Pochettino called it 'a bad tackle', although he admitted it was unintentional.

So Mousa Dembele’s six-and-a-half-year spell at Tottenham is over as he pursues a new chapter of his career out in China.
The Belgium international insists he has nothing but love for Spurs, who are part of his family after his successful spell in north London.
“[The journey has been] very special,” he said. “The club always treated me fairly. I’ve always had a good experience here. I go away with an unbelievable feeling and with a certain love for the club.
“Because you have a long period at a club, you have a lot of love for the club. Sometimes you separate in a bad way and I don’t feel that way.
“Even the reaction I’ve had from the supporters, everyone is very positive with me. They’ve wished me a lot of luck and happiness. The club is part of my family now, 100 per cent.”
