Robben: Van der Vaart ready for Bayern moveArjen Robben claims Rafael van der Vaart is desperate to join him at Bayern Munich.
Van der Vaart has failed to hold down a regular first-team place at Real Madrid and his Netherlands team-mate Robben believes he is keen on a return to the Bundesliga where he starred previously for Hamburg.
"Rafael told me that Bayern is a great club when we were playing together at Real Madrid,'' Robben told Kicker magazine.
"Rafa was also the one who advised me to come to Munich," said Robben. "He has told me that, if Bayern were to ask him to come, he would cycle to Munich just to get a contract here.
Robben, who along with van der Vaart was named in Holland's 23-man World Cup squad yesterday, added: "He wanted to move to Munich (when he went to Real) so maybe it could still happen.''
