Hargreaves' future undecided
Owen Hargreaves is unlikely to play again this season. What's more, Sir Alex Ferguson admits a decision needs to be made over the midfielder’s future. The 30-year-old has had terrible problems with injuries since joining United and is out of contract in the summer.
The boss revealed on Friday morning that talks have taken place between the midfielder and Reds chief executive David Gill over the player's future. Hargreaves has managed just one brief appearance this season; he started in the 2-1 victory against Wolves in November but lasted only a few minutes before pulling up with a hamstring injury.
“I don’t see Hargreaves playing this season,” conceded Sir Alex. “He’s got this shoulder injury which I think has put his season to an end.“He's carried bad luck all the time he's been here. David Gill had a discussion with the boy last week. His contract is up at the end of the season - we have to make a decision."
