Demba Ba has completed his move from Hoffenheim to West Ham United.
The Senegal striker has signed a permanent deal with the Hammers until June 2014. He is manager Avram Grant's third signing of the transfer window, following Wayne Bridge and Gary O'Neil to the club.
The 25-year-old, who will wear the number 21 shirt, arrives at Upton Park for an undisclosed fee, but the club have confirmed it will be heavily dependent on appearances.

"It was a long story but now I'm happy because it had a really good end and I am glad to be here," he told the club's official website. "I'm going to give everything to West Ham United.
"I have made the move to West Ham and I'm very happy. I'm definitely excited to be playing in the Premier League.
"It is a bit difficult to describe myself, but when I'm on the pitch I just give everything for the team I am playing for and for the fans who support me.
"I like playing football. I like to be on the pitch playing good passes with the other guys and running with the ball, rather than playing in a direct style, so I should be able to fit in well at West Ham."
Ba had appeared set for a move to West Ham's Barclays Premier League rivals Stoke City only for the deal to fall through because of a failed medical.
Ba has scored six goals in 17 matches for Hoffenheim this season.
