THIAGO MOTTA EXTENDS CONTRACT TO 2017Paris Saint-Germain is very happy to announce that Thiago Motta has signed a one-year extension to his contract on Friday. The Italy international is now tied to the club until 30 June 2017.
This contract extension comes after several weeks of negotiations with the defensive midfielder, negotiations that began at the end of last season.
During this period, the Club has continually recognised the player's importance within the squad that has won the last three French Ligue 1 championships.
Since his arrival in January 2012, Thiago Motta has contributed greatly to the club's progression on both a national and international level and in winning nine trophies under the Qatar Sports Investments era, as well as reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the last three seasons.
Coming after the recent contract extensions of Javier Pastore, Lucas and Marquinhos, Thiago Motta's decision to extend his contract is further proof of the confidence the players have in the club's ambitions.
