France international defender William Gallas is reportedly just days away from joining Greek giants Panathinaikos, according to the latest reports from Greece’s Sport24. The former Arsenal captain is reportedly impressed by the Greek side’s offer as the Athenians are keen on adding another Frenchman to their ranks.
According to the reports, Gallas will meet with Panathinaikos vice-president Dimitris Gondikas on Monday as both sides negotiate a contract worth an estimated ?1.7m plus bonuses.
Gallas, who has attracted offers from Juventus, Paris St. Germain and Hamburg already this summer, is at the top of Panathinaikos’ list of transfer targets as the center- back position continues to pose problems for manager Nikos Nioplias.
