The Mavericks are close to signing former Golden State Warrior Kelenna Azubuike, presuming he can pass a physical, a source close to the situation said.
That may not be as simple as it sounds. Azubuike underwent patella surgery in 2009 and never saw the court with New York after being traded there in the David Lee deal. It was found that the original surgery on his knee was not done correctly and he had another procedure.
