Leicester hopeful of signing Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig

Leicester City are in talks with RB Leipzig over Ademola Lookman and the Premier League side hope to sign the winger on loan with an option to buy.
The Athletic understands both Leicester and Lookman are keen on the deal although there is still work to be done before an agreement can be reached with Leipzig.
Lookman, 23, moved to Leipzig on a permanent deal after leaving Everton in 2019. He had earlier spent a season on loan at the Bundesliga side.
But after an impressive loan spell, during which he scored five goals in 11 league appearances, Lookman has struggled to win a regular spot in Leipzig’s starting XI.
He spent last season on loan at Fulham and made 34 appearances for the London side, who suffered relegation back to the Championship.
He has also won 11 caps for England’s Under-21 side although is yet to feature for Gareth Southgate’s senior squad.
Leicester have signed four first-team players this summer. The Foxes have brought in Patson Daka from Red Bull Salzburg and Boubakary Soumare from Lille, while adding Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard from Southampton.
