INTER FIRM ON PERISIC

Inter Milan appear to be maintaining their hard-line stance with Manchester United over Ivan Perisic.

Sky sources understand Perisic wants to move to Manchester United but they are refusing to pay the £48m asking price for the Croatian winger.

Inter have taken Perisic on their pre-season tour of China and Singapore and Inter manager Luciano Spalletti says he is going to play.

Spalletti said: “Perisic will play because he wasn’t involved in the friendly games in Brunico – he may even play more than the others.”

SPALLETTI: PERISIC MAY LEAVE

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti admits the club are prepared to sell Ivan Perisic if Man Utd meet their asking price.

SSN reported earlier in the week that United and Inter were close to agreeing a fee for the Croatia winger, who the Serie A club want £48m for.

"He is a fantastic player and if his future is totally up to me, I will definitely keep him," Spalletti told a media conference.

"However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave."

LATEST ON PERISIC

Manchester United's hopes of signing Ivan Perisic have received a boost after Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti admitted the Italian club could not keep the winger against his will.

"For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him," Spalletti said.

"He's strong, he's a player I want to keep with me, but then we must consider the opinion of the club and the player."
