Leicester, done deal for Roma's Cengiz Under

Negotiations have been finalized between Leicester City and Roma for winger Cengiz Under. The Premier League club will add Under on a loan with forced option to buy, a deal totaling ?27m, (?3m loan + ?24 option). In the coming hours he will travel to the UK to undergo medicals for Leicester and join his new club.

The Foxes made the push for the Roma player after seeing their opportunity fade to sign Trincao from Barcelona. The forward is being used alongside Messi and Griezmann in Koeman's XI for the blaugrana.

Leicester are hoping to conclude a deal to sign the Roma winger Cengiz Under on an initial loan with an obligation to buy for ?27m (£24.6m) at the end of the season.

Roma are open to letting the Turkey international leave because the 23-year-old with huge potential has failed to nail down a regular starting place.

Under joined Roma from Istanbul Basaksehir in 2017 and has 17 goals in 88 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorosso. He has 21 caps, having made his international debut in 2016. Although left-footed he often plays on the right wing.

Also Cengiz Ünder to Leicester is a 100% done deal on loan with obligation to buy from AS Roma. Medicals tomorrow and here-we-go confirmed. Trincão will stay @ Barcelona.

Leicester City Football Club have agreed terms with A.S. Roma for the loan of Turkish international Cengiz Ünder until the end of the season, subject to Premier League and international clearance.

- The 23-year-old spent the past three seasons playing in Serie A
- Turkish winger has made 21 international appearances  

The 23-year-old has spent the last three seasons in Serie A and will now join up with his new team-mates ahead of this weekend’s game against Burnley at King Power Stadium.

An international teammate of City defender Çağlar Söyüncü, the winger has 21 caps to his name, and made his senior debut for his country aged 19.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Cengiz said: “I can’t wait to go to Leicester and start training. I’ve always wanted to play in England and this is a great opportunity to play in the Premier League.

“I will try to help my team-mates on the pitch and off the pitch and I believe that I can improve my performance every day. I think I am fast and can create lots of chances for my colleagues.

“I feel very good because my best friend plays for Leicester City. I am very happy to be able to play with Çağlar [Söyüncü] and I always watched Leicester’s games because of him.”
