Marseille believe West Ham are prepared to sell Dimitri Payet if the price is right, Sky sources understand.

Representatives from both clubs met in London today but failed to reach an agreement for the French midfielder.

We understand Marseille are also concerned that the longer negotiations go on, the more likely it is that other clubs will try to sign Payet.

Sky sources: Marseille are preparing a third bid for West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet.

Payet will be taking pay cut of at least 30% if West Ham allow him to go to Marseille. Weekly wage will drop from £125,000 to below £100,000

Payet very upset that he's come across as greedy. He's turned down massive offers from China because he wants to go home for family reasons
