- Arsenal have added Lukas Klostermann to their list of defensive targets

Arsenal have added Red Bull Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann to their list of defensive targets.Arsene Wenger already has Per Mertesacker out for four months but his troubles were compounded by the ankle ligament injury sustained by Gabriel Paulista in Sunday's friendly against Manchester City.
Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi is at the forefront of Arsenal's thinking though they have discussed Jonny Evans and Scott Dann also.
Klostermann is an up-and-coming defender who is 6ft 2ins tall and plays at right-back for Leipzig but it generally accepted he will probably settle at centre-back.
He is valued at £25m already though and is playing for Germany's Olympic side so a quick purchase would seem unlikely.
Rob Holding, Arsenal's £2m summer signing from Bolton, is currently the club's only fit natural centre-back.
