Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is attracting interest from Turkish side Galatasaray, according to Sky sources. The 29-year-old, capped 24 times by Brazil, is in the final year of his current contract and has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer in the national press. Lucas is yet to be offered a new contract to remain at Anfield and it is understood Galatasaray could make a move to sign him before the close of the summer transfer window. He has made 313 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions after joining the club from Brazilian side Gremio in 2007 and was part of the side that won the 2012 League Cup under the management of Kenny Dalglish.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reshaping his squad ahead of his first full season at the club and has already allowed Martin Skrtel, Joe Allen, Jordan Ibe as well as a number of other fringe players depart.
Klopp has spent close to £70m this summer, adding Sadio Mane, Joel Matip, Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan, Alex Manninger and Georginio Wijnaldum to his squad.
