像其他曼聯球星一樣，中場吉遜也登陸了Twitter，他註冊了一個名為「DGibbo28」的ID，但僅僅在2個小時後因遭遇怒駡，他被迫註銷這個帳號。

    在球場上，吉遜以愛好遠射而著稱，但他的表現不敢令人恭維。今季到目前為止，他共有12次聯賽出陣，共計648分鐘，僅僅奉獻一腳助攻。歐戰兩次登臺毫無表現。14場比賽，僅有3場比賽打滿90分鐘。因此球迷們通過twitter對愛爾蘭國腳發洩著怒火。

    其中有留言表示：「你週六的表現(對陣愛華頓)是我見過的曼聯球員歷史上發揮最爛的，碰到球你就怕？」還有刻薄如：「他迄今為止一句微博也沒發過，就跟他在球場上也喜歡玩隱形一樣。」「全隊拼命控球，你卻一腳把它踢上看臺的最後一排。」

    而有球迷希望曼聯儘快清洗吉遜：「如果今年夏天我們賣掉你，那就沒有什麼能讓我更開心的了，你可能是個不錯的傢伙，但是個糟糕的球員。」

    自去年10月份以來，吉遜的狀態急劇下降，在嘉實多球員排行榜上，他的排名從1119位跌至1484位。(Goal.com)
