Rodallega: Arsenal want meWigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega has revealed that Arsenal are among the clubs chasing his signature.
The Colombian is currently away on international duty at the Copa America, and while he insists he is happy at Wigan, he has also welcomed being linked with the Gunners.
Rodallega is under contract at Wigan until next summer, and an impressive Premier League campaign has seen him linked with a move to Spain - with both Sevilla and Villarreal reportedly interested.
While he is happy to leave decisions over his future to the club, Rodallega admitted he had been the subject of interest from Arsenal and Everton.
"Arsenal are interested in me and this is a club I have always liked," Rodallega said. "There are many teams interested, it's true. Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal also have some interest, Everton of England.
"There is a lot of speculation but my future at this moment is at Wigan. I have signed for one more year in Wigan but if the club decides on my sale that is no problem if the subject is positive for all parties."
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez claimed on Friday that he expected his big-name stars to stay, with Charles N'Zogbia and James McCarthy also linked with moves away from the DW Stadium. However, Latics chairman Dave Whelan admitted the club were unlikely to hang onto N'Zogbia.
"We have to sell Charles N'Zogbia because he's on the last year of his contract," Whelan told TalkSport. "We can't keep him if a big club comes for him and he does deserve a big club because he's that kind of quality player.
"We would love to keep him and pay him what he wants to stay with us but it's a very difficult situation. He's such a great player and we are such a small club sometimes we don't go together."
With Rodallega also heading into the final year of his contract, the Colombian could also be on his way out of the DW Stadium.
